The Fairy Paintbox: Looking Back, Looking Ahead

Looking back on 2010.

Well, The Baltimore Ravens didn't make it through the playoffs. Lost to who else? The Steelers. We still love our team, and these custom Ravens Fan Wall Letters have to be one of my favorite projects this year.

Coming in second place, these Corvette fan wall letters. A little splash of gold and silver brought out a subtle shimmer. Each corvette is from a different decade. Coming in third, these super hero fan wall letters. These are super detailed, very colorful and vibrant.

2010 was a great year for The Fairy Paintbox, we grew a little bigger and took in many more orders than the previous year. We moved, allowing for a much larger office space. We put in a fantastic drying and storage shelf that's even larger than the studio tables, for orders in progress. Still working with the same studio tables, but hoping to make more additions in this new year.

At present, referrals and returns customers account for 20% of monthly orders while another 10 to 20% through social networking and the remaining via Internet searches. If you haven't found The Fairy Paintbox on Facebook, be sure to do so! A weekly updated gallery of the most recent custom wall letters and custom kids' room decor can be found there and the page is interactive, so friends of The Fairy Paintbox can leave comments, reviews and even submit their own nursery room/kids room/wall letter photos for others to see.

I am very grateful to all of my wonderful customers. What started out as a part-time idea to help pay for my college expenses back in 2005, turned into a full-time at-home career. Very helpful for a mommy of four little ones! Don't worry, that English degree is also paying off - I double (or triple, really - four kids is a full-time job, too) as a freelance writer and currently have a manuscript with an agent.

So here's to 2011, and thank you to all the wonderful customers.
